The Day Someone Made My Day

The Life of a Daymaker (Wagner, D. 2013) book was given to me this week by the entrepreneurial CEO of a machine company in TN.

What a great gift, thanks Jeff Turner and thanks to my CEO Amith Nagarajan for introducing me.

I read it all on the plane to LAX.

While I was on the plane I found someone’s iPad mini in the seat back pocket. I scoured around a little more and found a boarding pass with the passenger’s name on it. I hit the call button and handed it all over to the cabin crew so they could get it back to Nashville where I had boarded the plane and I felt certain “Matthew” was really upset he had left the device behind.

Then someone made my day.

As we were exiting the plane the woman who was sitting next to me on the flight tapped me on the shoulder and asked if she could shake my hand. She thanked me for being a generous person.

I could not stop smiling. Still can’t. No one has ever done that to me before.
